Basic Farm Drugs
In an effort to cut down prices to our clients we have been looking at equivalent but cheaper versions of a number of products this is a slow process but initially below are some cheaper equivalents.
For Cattle
If you use a lot of Finadyne then consider asking for Flunixin. It is the same drug at the same dose rate but is £29.37 Inc VAT per 100ml rather than £47.00 Inc VAT per 100ml of Finadyne.
For Sheep
If you require a long acting Tetracycline for sheep especially at lambing or to prevent enzootic abortion then Tetroxyl LA is worth considering. The dose is 1ml per 10kg I.M. (rather than 1ml per 5kg for Engeymycin). The meat withdrawal is 28 days in sheep but Tetroxyl LA is only £7.99 + VAT per 100ml bottle. |
